2024 Vermeer® Pedestrian Trenchers RTX130

Whether it’s fiber, irrigation line or other installation, the RTX130 is equipped for your tough jobsites.

Powered by a 13-hp (9.7-kW) Honda engine, this unit offers a 30-in (76.2-cm) digging depth and has the ability to maneuver in tight spaces at a 35-in (88.9-cm) width. The intuitive design of the industry-exclusive VZ steering allows ease of movement through difficult ground conditions. This machine also offers the option of tires or tracks to give operators the versatility to take on their jobsite challenges.

VZ steering system
  • Steers effortlessly with the VZ steering system that requires minimal effort to the handle bars.
Narrow footprint
  • Fits into narrow areas with a footprint that measures only 35-in (88.9-cm) wide.
Operator presence system
  • Promotes on-the-job safety with an operator presence system that disengages the trencher and ground drives if the operator leaves the controls, in addition to a trenching cleat that restricts backward motion.
Trenching depth control
  • Elimination of the tail wheel on the track unit provides trenching depth control in uneven ground conditions and convenience to move through tight spaces.
High-torque digging
  • The RTX130 is equipped with a 13-hp (9.7-kW) Honda engine for optimal power on your jobsite.
Slender profile
  • A 35-in (88.9-cm) width allows the RTX130 to access small spaces — including passing through typical backyard gates.
